Bubbles!
Lachlan had his first bubble bath with his brother. They both had a lot of fun I think. Everett kept trying to put bubbles on Lachlan's head.

Another attempt...
Well I am not sure why I keep trying to get cute pictures of the boys together but I have yet to capture that perfect shot. This time I even recruited Stephen's help. And even though it went a little bit better than the last attempt I would still have to say these pictures did not turn out at all what I had hoped for. So I will once again post them to show that I really am an amateur photographer. And to prove my previous realization that it is next to impossible to get sibling pictures to turn out.

My baby is growing up.
Lachlan is now almost 17 pounds and about 26 inches long. He is such a cute little baby at least we like to think so. He is very active and likes to be sitting up where he can see what is going on. I decided it was time to pull out the bouncer that Everett once used and see if he likes it. Even though he was really tired by the time I got it all wiped down and ready for him to sit in he still enjoyed it.

Lachlan loves Laini whenever he sees her he starts smiling and talking.
And just for fun a couple of pictures of Everett in the bouncer when he was about the same age. He didn't seem to like it as much as Lachlan does. I don't remember him ever really bouncing or playing in it. I would put him in there and bounce him and he would just fall asleep.

I now know why...
On October 16, 2009 I came to the realization as to why parents always seem to have more pictures of their first born child than any of their other children. My conclusion is you are too busy chasing around the first child to get a picture of the second child, or you are trying to get a picture of just one child and the other is always jumping in the picture. Also if you try to get a picture of more than one child at a time getting them all to look at you and smile at the same time never seems to work. Add a dog into the mix and well your chances of getting a good picture are probably pretty slim.
The following pictures were taken as I came to this realization. I had taken the time to dress the boys in matching shirts and just wanted a couple of cute pictures of them together. My first challenge was getting Everett to sit next to Lachlan for the picture. Everything was downhill from there and after only a couple of pictures I gave up. I will have to try again another day. As you can tell none of them are usable for anything other than a laugh and just show that I really am an amateur photographer.

Everett and his 4-wheeler.
It has been so long since I have been on here to update I don't even know where to start. I never thought having another child to care for would take up so much time. We are finally starting to get a routine figured out after 4 months and hopefully I will be able to find more time to do updates regularly.
One afternoon at the end of September Everett and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and play out back. One of his favorite things to do is ride his 4-wheeler around the yard. On this particular day he had decided to wear his old snow boots that I am sure are too small. He also had to carry around the baby monitor to listen for Lachlan to wake up. I think he took some riding lessons from Grandpa Marty or maybe even Grandma Cheryl while he was camping with them. He has decided the best way to ride the 4-wheeler is standing up.

Also while out in the yard he decided to see if any of the vegetables we had planted in our garden grew. Unfortunately we really need to work on our garden area a little more next year. The ground was just too hard for anything to grow. We did end up with a few tomatoes and Everett found a small red one to pick.

My boys are growing up so fast.
Everett is going to preschool again this year. He is going 3 days a week and really enjoys his time at school. Lachlan is growing and changing everyday. At his two month doctor appointment he weighed almost 14 pounds. It is hard for me to believe he is already 2 months old. The time goes by too fast.
Lachlan, such a big boy.
Lachlan sitting in his new Bumbo Seat.
Everett giving Lachlan a kiss on the cheek.
Brothers.
Everett on his first day of Preschool. What a handsome little boy we have.
Camping in the Wind Rivers.
We went camping with Grandpa Marty and Grandma Cheryl. It was fun to get out even though it was cold and rainy most of the time we were there. Stephen and I were both hoping to be able to get more camping time in this summer but things just didn't work out that way. Hopefully next summer we will have more time for camping. I think riding the 4-wheeler was Everett's favorite part of camping. He also enjoyed climbing the rocks with Dad.
