First day of school.

Everett started preschool today. He was so excited to go, he got up at 7:30 am (this is very early for him) and came into our bedroom and said "It's time to get up dad." We got up and he had his favorite cereal (Apple Jacks) for breakfast. Then he showered and got all ready for school. I think he wandered around the house with his backpack on for at least an hour. I volunteered to stay in the classroom today and help out. I thought it would be a good idea to stay with Everett on his first day until he got to know the teachers and other students. He played really well with all of the kids and seemed to have a lot of fun. After school we came home and had lunch. Then Everett decided he was tired and laid down by daddy to take a nap. I can't believe my baby is going to school already.
